King Abdullah University of Science and Technology KAUST

Want to college on the campus of the magnificent and luxurious? Probably could chose King Abdullah University of Science and Technology or commonly called KAUST. But it seems not everyone can register at the University of the biggest and grandest in the Middle East region this. As quoted from online media, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology or the University commonly called KAUST is the largest and grandest in the Middle East region owned by King Abdullah.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology is located at 80 km from the northern city of Jeddah planned to be built from 2006 and was completed from the year 2009. The university has designed and built by HOK, a large construction company from Europe. The University has only two departments namely Department of Science and Technology, since King Abdullah mission to build KAUST is to produce graduates qualified students who can advance the science of Science and Technology in the Middle East.

KAUST provides scholarships for graduates who are interested to continue their studies to masters and doctoral level. Requirement, applicants must have a degree in a relevant field of study that will be taken at KAUST. Fields of study offered at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology is engineering, mathematics, biology, physics, and chemistry. The value of cumulative grade point (GPA) to be owned by the applicant at least 3.5 (scale of 4) or an equivalent international standard of value. Currently, the average GPA of the prospective student KAUST was 3.7.

In addition, applicants must also have a certificate of TOEFL with a minimum value of 79 (for the IBT) or 6.0 (for IELTS). Only the TOEFL and IELTS issued an official institution received. TOEFL and IELTS certificate is not required for applicants who use English as mother tongue, or those who won the title from the United States, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
